PCS Support Groups

Relocating can be very stressful for not only the servicemember but the dependents as well.  Adjustment can be difficult and take time, but there is support available to make this transition a little easier.  The following are support groups that are focused on helping new servicemembers and their families get situated and comfortable in their new home and job.

Relocation Assistance Program – this program was designed to help military members and their families gather information about the stations they are transferring to, or if separating, providing information on the area they will be returning to.  They will also help with preparing for the actual move itself.  The also provide relocation counseling services and support materials to those new to the area.

National Military Family Association – this program was created to fight for the benefits and programs that will benefit and strengthen those who have served their country.  They provide help by identifying and resolving issues through education, research, legislation and public information.
